Healing through Tarot, Singing Bowls, Meditation + Art

Nicole Caudle is an author, podcast host, tarot card reader, Reiki practitioner, and an artist living in South Carolina with her two children. Resonating with her words and intrigued by all of her offerings, I wanted to learn more about Nicole and introduce Apt1708 to the Supported Soul community.

If you're ready to start healing and rebuilding your life, this inspiring blog post with Nicole might just be the catalyst for change✨

Apt1708 is such an intriguing name, what’s the story behind it?

I spent what seemed like almost a decade with intense anxiety, low self esteem, and running my mind and life in circles. 1708 was the apartment I was living in when I first started down my mindfulness track. There was nothing special about it-at least at the time. But over time, as I started to encounter numerous upheavals in my professional and personal life, I started to realize a lot of what was occurring while I lived there in particular were the beginning stages of an intense awakening. Now it’s my “lucky number” so to speak.

I discovered your offerings on Insight Timer where you have a great collection of meditations and even offer some chakra and singing bowl healing. Why is it important to heal our chakras and how does the sound from the singing bowls help?

For me chakra healing has played a vital role in really helping understand my body and my emotions as well as the role particular chakra blockages can play in your perception of events and how you handle them. Blocked chakras can leave you feeling out of balance and out of whack. When you are out of balance there is no way that you can give 100%, it usually ends up with you expending more energy in areas where you shouldn’t be. As a fan of sound healing, Tibetan singing bowls add another layer to healing and balancing the calming frequency. I find myself less tense and significantly more relaxed after a session with the singing bowls.

In your IG profile you mention that you are healing from divorce using Tarot. Can you tell me about that process?

When I first started the course it was all about teaching people a new way of looking at healing, helping others as well as myself begin to understand themselves and what they were going through using The Fool tarot card. The course itself was another interpretation of The Fool’s journey. Going into a new life can have you feeling many of the characteristics of the card, so my goal was to help people understand what they were seeing and experiencing in a way that made sense for that exact situation-divorce. Like some of my audience, I had to undergo this process and its most painful parts (often repeatedly) in order to officially get the healing started, and tarot provided me with a great starting point.

Lately, I’ve found myself asking the question “What now?” So now I’m turning my focus towards teaching how to do an entire life reset, not just the spiritual side. It’s also the physical, mental, emotional, and even financial. The goal of the first course was to help you heal from the situation, now my practice is geared towards helping you restart with a fresh perspective. My hope is that as I continue to evolve those who follow can do so as well. We all learn better together.

You have some beautiful healing products and artwork available in your Etsy shop including your illustrated Tarot cards! Can you tell me about the inspiration behind your art?

I don’t consider myself to be someone who is really that great with expressing themselves verbally. I’ve always been able to communicate via photography or some method of creativity. The artwork with the Soul Revived Deck is just another visual representation of my thoughts and feelings. Especially when going through life changes. Since I could never quite express myself in the words I wanted, the artwork became my voice. All three parts of the deck and their images represent a feeling or expression that I struggled to give a name to at the time, but were exactly what I was feeling.

Tell me about your podcast Black Tourmaline. What are you hoping listeners get out of it?

The podcasts are usually short recordings of topics that run through my head that I didn’t explore in a blog or social media post. The topics come about through my own healing, sometimes I hit upon things/thoughts/realizations that I feel that I just have to share with others. The goal is for listeners to create a conversation with themselves in the hopes they can begin to be more honest with what they accept. Whether it is taking a look at their own actions or speaking up for themselves.

How do you incorporate healing activities into each day?

For me it all starts with my morning. Having to balance one child in virtual school, working from home and a plethora of other things that come up through the day I make sure that my mornings always start off calm. I have learned over the years that when the morning goes downhill, usually so does the day. There are a number of things I do first thing in the morning, but the biggest thing is making sure I find 10 minutes of silence by myself. I don’t do anything, I don’t think about anything, I just sit. Just sitting allows me to really be in the present moment. I have 1000 things running through my head at any given moment, so having a consistent morning routine lets me look forward to those peaceful times even more.

“Singing Bowls have been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes. They create a range of sounds to restore the normal vibratory frequencies of diseased and out-of-harmony parts of the body, mind and soul.
If anybody is interested in reading more, there is an excellent article here – https://www.pranalink.com/educate-category/singing-bowls.html?utm_source=referrer&utm_medium=organic”

That was an excellent article! According to Mitchell Gaynor, “There’s no organ system in the body that’s not affected by sound, music and vibration. You can look at disease as a form of disharmony.”
I’ve been researching and reading a lot about singing bowls recently. I’m wondering if any of you have any other resources to provide. It appears that finding the most up-to-date information on the website is challenging. I recently noticed a handful of relevant websites https://www.pranalink.com/educate-topic/singing-bowls.html?utm_source=referrer&utm_medium=Organic is one of the websites.
The bulk of the websites do not update regularly enough to assist me in learning more quickly. Is there anyone willing to assist?
